The role of the woman and the Church of Jesus Christ are in the same position. We will look at a few scriptures today to see how they relate.
First look in Gen. 2:21-24.
The Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and from this event God brought forth the woman. This is a picture of the cross to come. A deep sleep is a "death like" trance. On the cross Jesus experienced death so that the Church could be born. As Adam experienced death and the woman was brought forth from his side, so Christ was on the cross and as his side was pierced, the Church was born. As the blood spilled from Jesus' side you and I are born again. As the first Adam experienced death for his wife, so the secound Adam experienced death for his bride.
When Jesus was betrayed by Judas, how much money was Judas given?

In Leviticus 27:4 The law values the woman at what price? ____________________________________
I believe Jesus was purchasing the position of the woman or His bride, the Church. That makes the role of "woman" made in the image of God very important. We as women are to carry the image of God just as the Church of Jesus Christ is to hold that position next to Him. Women are in the position of "submission" just as the Church is in that position to Jesus. Although while Jesus is away He has delegated His authority to His Church much like the man of the household will delegate the authority to his wife while he is gone. Because of their covenant relationship they will confere with each other in the affairs of life.
Gen. 20:12 What does Abraham say about Sarah? Is she his sister? How?

Just as Abraham and Sarah are brother and sister and husband and wife so is Christ and His Church. We have the same father but different mothers. The glory of Israel was to bring forth the Messiah. Israel is the mother of the Messiah, His father is God. The organized Church is the mother of the Bride, and her Father is God. We are born again off of the incorruptible seed (sperm) of God. The Church will produce and is producing the Bride but just because we "go" to church doesn't make us part of the bride. See Matthew 7:21. We become part of the Bride by our faith and obedience to God's Word.
Revelation 19:7
What does the Bride do?_______________________________________________________________
You and I have our part to play. We must "make ourselves ready", "prepare ourselves for His glory" by seeking God and obeying His commandments. If you read Esther chapter two you will see how Esther was a part of a preparation program before she was presented to the King. And Esther "ask" what she needed to please the King.
This is a good prayer for you and I. "Lord, what do I need to ask you for in my life in order to please you?"
Revelation 19:8
